Saigon Street Food Trail

Follow a local guide through District 4's narrow alleys, stopping at family-run stalls for banh xeo pancakes, grilled pork skewers, fresh spring rolls and sugarcane juice. Finish with che dessert at a tiny shopfront that's been open for three generations.

Into the Mekong

Slip into a wooden boat and drift through waterways so narrow the coconut palms almost touch overhead. Visit a candy workshop where caramel is pulled by hand, sit down for a long lunch cooked by a riverside family and wash it down with their own rice wine.

Saigon After Dark

Take the lift to a rooftop bar above District 1 and let the city put on a show. Nguyen Hue boulevard glows below, thousands of headlights weave through the streets and the river catches the last colour of the day. Vietnamese craft cocktails and nowhere to be.

Cu Chi Tunnels Morning

Drive 90 minutes northwest to the Cu Chi tunnel network. Crawl through original wartime passages, see the trapdoors and hidden kitchens, and hear the story from a guide who grew up in the area.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Saigon

Land at Tan Son Nhat and transfer to your boutique hotel in District 1. Spend the afternoon exploring Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the tree-lined streets around Dong Khoi. Evening rooftop cocktails with skyline views, then dinner at a French-Vietnamese restaurant.

Day 2

Saigon Highlights

Morning at the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. Afternoon street food trail through District 4 with a local guide, tasting banh xeo, grilled pork and sugarcane juice from the carts. Evening free for Ben Thanh Market browsing or a cooking class.

Day 3

Mekong Delta

Drive to Ben Tre (2 hours) and step onto a wooden boat. Drift through quiet waterways under a ceiling of coconut palms, watch caramel being pulled at a candy workshop and sit down for a long lunch cooked by a family on their island. Back in Saigon by late afternoon. Farewell dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the river.

Day 4

Departure

Morning at leisure for last-minute shopping at Ben Thanh Market, a final cafe stop for Vietnamese iced coffee or a spa visit. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat for your flight. Short and sweet, but if you want more, we can add Phu Quoc beach days or a Cu Chi Tunnels morning.

Very safe. Ho Chi Minh City is one of the most visited cities in Southeast Asia and welcoming to tourists. Petty theft can happen (watch your phone on busy streets) but violent crime is extremely rare. Your hotel and our support team are always available.

The dry season runs from November to April with warm temperatures and blue skies. May to October is wetter, with afternoon downpours that usually clear quickly. The south stays warm year-round.
