Touch down at Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to your boutique hotel in District 1. Afternoon free to wander the tree-lined boulevards. Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and Ben Thanh Market. Evening rooftop cocktails overlooking the city skyline.
Morning flight to Phu Quoc (1 hour). Check into your beachfront resort and spend the rest of the day settling in. Pool, beach, first dip in the turquoise water. Sunset drinks on Long Beach to christen the trip.
Speedboat south to the An Thoi archipelago for a snorkelling morning over shallow coral reefs. Lunch grilled on a deserted beach. Return to the resort mid-afternoon for spa time or a nap by the pool.
Rent a scooter or hire a driver and explore the island. Visit the Suoi Tranh waterfall, sample fish sauce at a local distillery and ride through pepper plantations. Evening at the Dinh Cau night market for grilled seafood straight off the boats.
A completely free day. Kayak along Ong Lang Beach, book a couples' massage at the resort spa or simply read in a hammock under the palms. This is your day to do as little or as much as you like.
Morning trip to Bai Sao, one of Phu Quoc's most photogenic beaches. Wade through shallow water dotted with orange starfish. Afternoon at leisure before a farewell beachfront dinner with your feet in the sand and the sunset as a backdrop.
