White-sand beaches, world-class resorts and legendary sunsets — Phu Quoc is Vietnam's premier island for a romantic honeymoon escape.
Phu Quoc is where Vietnam does beach honeymoons best — an island of powdery white sand, gin-clear water and sunsets that stop you mid-sentence. It's the kind of place where days blur together in the best possible way.
Mornings start with snorkelling over coral reefs, afternoons disappear in beachfront spas, and evenings end at candlelit seafood barbecues with your toes in the sand. World-class resorts — JW Marriott, InterContinental, Fusion — sit alongside fishing villages, giving you five-star luxury with genuine Vietnamese character.
Vietnam's largest island has quietly become one of Southeast Asia's most compelling honeymoon destinations. Just a one-hour flight from Saigon, Phu Quoc feels like another world — 20 kilometres of unbroken coastline along Long Beach, jungle-covered mountains in the north, and a string of uninhabited islands to the south.
The island strikes a rare balance. You can spend the morning island-hopping through the An Thoi archipelago — Vietnam's best snorkelling, with sea turtles and soft coral just metres below the surface — then be back at your private pool villa by lunch. The northern half of the island is still largely untouched: dirt roads winding through pepper plantations, hidden waterfalls, and fishing villages where the catch comes in at dawn.
Evenings are where Phu Quoc truly shines. The Dinh Cau night market is a nightly ritual — rows of sizzling stalls serving grilled scallops, garlic butter prawns and sea urchin straight from the boats. Find a table, order a cold Saigon beer, and watch the sunset paint the sky behind the fishing fleet. It's the kind of evening you'll talk about for years.
November to March is peak season — dry, sunny days averaging 28–31°C with calm, clear seas ideal for snorkelling and island-hopping. April and May are warm and quieter, with occasional afternoon showers that rarely disrupt plans. Avoid July to September, when monsoon swells can affect western beaches and some boat tours pause.
Direct flights run daily from Ho Chi Minh City (1 hour) and Hanoi (2 hours), with international connections from Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Phu Quoc International Airport is just 10 minutes from the main resort strip on Long Beach — we arrange private car transfers for all our honeymoon packages, so you're poolside within half an hour of landing.
